Sep 19, 2023 · I’ve downloaded a wifi scanner and there are other WiFis nearby using the same WiFi channels. Since I have an XB8. I can’t manually update the WiFi channels to fix it. I’ve restarted the gateway and it continues using the same WiFi Channel. I called support and they say they can’t change the WiFi Channel on their side either.

It shows 4 Gigabit Ethernet Ports but does not specify if one of them is a 2.5 Gig port. I blew up the picture of the modem really big, 300%, and can see the orange line on the lower right port indicating 2.5 Gig just like the XB7. 4.

Sep 22, 2023 · Open the Xfinity app and sign in with your Xfinity ID and password. Go to the WiFi tab. Tap your Home WiFi Network name. Select Edit WiFi settings. Select 2.4 and 5 GHz WiFi. Select Edit next to the WiFi band you want to update. Select the new WiFi Mode and/or Channel setting. Select Save to save your new settings.

Jun 17, 2024 · Go to the Xfinity app. Select "connect" at bottom of screen. Select "View or edit WiFi settings". If you have split the bands by assigning a separate ID and Password for each band, then select the 2.4 GHz WiFi band. Go to the Security Mode box where if may say "WPA3 or WPA3-Personal-Transition" and change to "WPA2".
