I have a 1996 Volvo 850 wagon non-turbo which has had a misfire for over 5 years. I have taken it to two Volvo dealers and one independant garage without results. The claim they cannot duplicate the problem. The only codes stored in the computer are for random occasional misfiring on all cylinders. Compression is fine.

Customer: Hi, I have a 1995 volvo 850 wagon, and the service light has come on, on the dash and I can't get it to go out, the car is well mentained recently had the oil and filter and air filter replaced, but the light is still on any suggestions or help would be appreciated. Thanks Jim.

Customer: My '96 volvo 850 wagon failed inspection for emissions and exhaust. My friend who works on his own volvo says failing the emissions means it needs either a small inexpensive part or the catalytic converter. Are those really the only two options, and what is the small inexpensive part? (some kind of sensor, I think he said)

Customer: ''94 volvo 850 Turbo Wagon. Central locking went from working fine to only working between one or the other of the front doors and the tailgate. Neither of the front doors nor the tailgate lock would operate rear doors. Shortly thereafter all interlocking ceased...no sound of solenoid action at all.

Customer: 1997 Volvo 850 wagon water temp goes from normal to hot even at high speeds although at low speeds it boils over. I don't think it is the electric fan but not sure. I don't think it is the electric fan but not sure.
