The Sisters of Life are a contemplative/active Roman Catholic community of women religious, who profess the three traditional vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience, and a fourth vow to protect and enhance the sacredness of human life.

We exist to invite you to regain sight of yourself as a gift, the victory of love being won in your life, and the fact that Jesus can grow new life out of places of death. We invite you to regain sight of the remarkable truth and beauty of every human person, made in the image and likeness of God.

Since then, the community has grown to over a hundred Sisters from across the globe: USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, England, Spain, El Salvador, and the Philippines, and expanded missions from our birth place in New York City, to Denver, CO, Stamford, CT, Philadelphia, PA, Phoenix, AZ, Washington, D.C., and Toronto, Canada.

From Pregnancy Help to Retreats to Hope and Healing after Abortion to Evangelization. With seven convents in the New York area, including our motherhouse in Suffern, NY, and Villa Maria Guadalupe Retreat Centre in Stamford, CT, this is the home base of our community, from which all of our distant missions spring.

A retreat is a time to step out of the busy-ness of ordinary life to encounter the love, peace, and mercy of Jesus in a new way. Our retreats include time for silent prayer, Eucharistic adoration, Holy Mass, opportunities for confession, and conferences given by the Sisters.
