The Old North Church (formally Christ Church) is the oldest Episcopal (Anglican) church in Boston. We were established over 300 years ago in 1723, more than 50 years before the American Revolution and the church’s famous lantern signal.

The Old North Church is Boston’s oldest surviving church building and one of the Freedom Trail’s most visited historical sites, known for “One if by land, and two if by sea,” and the midnight ride of Paul Revere.

Operated by Old North Illuminated, Old North Church became most remembered from its role in the early American Revolutionary War. Visitors can take tours of the church's balcony, crypt, and bell-ringing chamber.
