The mantura or mandoura (Greek: μαντούρα, pronounced), is a Greek wind musical instrument played in Crete. [1] [2] It has 4 to 6 holes for the fingers and produces sound with the help of the reed (created by a split in the sidewall). [1] The mantura is very widespread in Crete and the Greek islands.
