Terminal 3 has received a dedicated apron control tower for this purpose. From its cab on the 14 th level, eight controllers will work to ensure that traffic below them flows safely and efficiently far below them.

Workplaces for eight air traffic controllers are being installed in the cab of Terminal 3’s new apron control tower. The advantage of climbing framework is that, because identical work steps repeat over and over again, the tower rises quickly.

The new apron control tower is integrated in Pier H and will reach a final height of up to 70 meters. The so-called climbing formwork enables construction to proceed quicker since all the steps are identical on each level. The apron control tower is already growing above Pier H.
