Coronary Sinus Reducer Implantation for the Treatment of …
In an observational study involving 23 patients, Konigstein et al. reported a 91% success rate of Reducer implantation, with 2 failures due to unsuitable CS anatomy. In our experience, we achieved successful device implantation in all patients.
Usefulness of Coronary Sinus Reducer Implantation for the …
During a median follow-up of 18.4 months, 135 (82.8%) patients demonstrated at least 1 CCS class reduction after Reducer implantation, and 80 (49%) patients at least 2 CCS class reduction. Mean CCS class improved from 3.05 ± 0.53 at baseline to 1.63 ± 0.98 at follow-up (p < 0.001).
CORONARY SINUS NARROWING FOR THE TREATMENT OF …
Apr 8, 2024 · Patients with refractory angina are often poor candidates for revascularization and have poor quality of life (QoL) despite optimal medical therapy. The COSIRA RCT showed the coronary sinus (CS) Reducer (Shockwave Medical, Santa Clara, CA, USA) is safe and effective for treating refractory angina.
Coronary sinus narrowing for the treatment of refractory angina: a ...
CS narrowing using the Reducer has emerged as an effective therapy for patients suffering from disabling angina. In the COSIRA double-blind, sham-controlled, multicentre clinical trial, Reducer implantation was associated with significantly greater angina relief and improved quality of life compared with a sham procedure, despite a high rate of ...
The coronary sinus (CS) Reducer is a novel device designed for the management of patients with severe angina symptoms refractory to optimal medical therapy and not ame-nable to further revascularization. Aim of this study was to investigate the efficacy and the safety of the CS Reducer device in a real-world, multicenter, and country-level ...
Coronary Sinus Narrowing for Treating Refractory Angina: REDUCER …
The coronary sinus (CS) Reducer (Shockwave Medical Inc) was safe and effective in the treatment of refractory angina in the COSIRA (Coronary Sinus Reducer for Treatment of Refractory Angina) randomized sham-controlled trial.
The coronary sinus (CS) Reducer™ (Neovasc Inc., Richmond BC, Canada) is designed to reduce disabling symptoms and improve quality of life of patients suffering from refractory angina (Table 1) .
The Coronary Sinus Reducer - PubMed Central (PMC)
Growing evidence supports the clinical benefits of the coronary sinus reducer in relieving angina symptoms in this specific population, with emerging evidence of reduction in myocardial ischaemia following the implantation of the coronary sinus reducer.
Coronary sinus reducer for the treatment of chronic refractory …
Dec 1, 2018 · In the safety/feasibility arm (n = 26), reducers were implanted with procedural success rate of 100% and with no short or long-term complications. All CS reducers were found to be patent at the time of sacrifice.
Efficacy of a Device to Narrow the Coronary Sinus in Refractory Angina
Feb 5, 2015 · In this small clinical trial, implantation of the coronary-sinus reducing device was associated with significant improvement in symptoms and quality of life in patients with refractory angina who...
