Jan 15, 2022 · Has anyone heard or aware of an update coming for the Astro C40 controller so owners can play PS5 version games such as Vanguard? I know I can use it on the PS5 using PS4 version but I have the 4K/120hz HDMI 2.1, etc. etc. monitor and TV and really want to play Vangaurd PS5 version. I LOVE the C40.

It also would’ve been nice to have the alternate D-pad included. I honestly believe that gamers will embrace this controller and will discover many advantages with it. Dec 9, 2022 · The decision for the C40 TR Controller not working with PS5 games was a Sony decision which you can read more below on their blog. They allowed speciality controllers such as steering wheels to continue working with the PS5 games, but at a system software level, blocked PS4 controllers such as the C40 TR Controller.

Apr 5, 2020 · The only way I see astro not making the c40 work is if they plan on making a c40 ps5 addition as a money grab. I’m literally thinking of buying a pc instead of a ps5 cause I like my c40 so much. Not only that by the time you get a ps5 and new astro controller that’s gonna be 700$ anyway at that point u might as well just get a pc

Oct 12, 2020 · Ps5 games are made with the ps5 controller which has haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. Since the astro and ds4 dont have these, they wont work with the games and if you could force it to, would probably have lots of strange glitches. There will be custom controllers for ps5, give it time.
