Officer Max Gillick continues to recover after being seriously injured in the line of duty three weeks ago in Raleigh.

Two men, including the gunman, were killed and a police officer was critically injured during last month’s shooting at the Renaissance Park neighborhood, not far from downtown.

Raleigh’s planning commission has approved a rezoning application that paves the way towards the build out of a $1 billion dollar entertainment district surrounding the Lenovo Center.
