Will Ferrell’s Buddy the Elf was spotted over the weekend looking a bit less jolly than usual. The star comic left people in stitches when he dressed up as a grizzled version of his happy-go-lucky character from the 2003 Christmas comedy “Elf” and headed to a hockey game between the Los Angeles Kings and the Philadelphia Flyers at L.

Buddy the Elf's holiday season, apparently. Actor Will Ferrell proved as much when he attended an NHL game in Los Angeles on Sunday, Dec. 29 while dressed as his iconic character from the beloved 2003 Christmas movie Elf — though this version of the character has seen better days after a chaotic end to the 2024 calendar year.

I think a lot of us are guilty of this. Christmas comes to an end. But we have spent so much time preparing for the holiday season, baking cookies and watching beloved Christmas movies, that we’re not ready to say goodbye to the annual season of giving.
