Rishabh Pant has made himself available for Delhi's next Ranji Trophy match, against Saurashtra, beginning in Rajkot on January 23, DDCA secretary Ashok Sharma said on Tuesday.Pant last played a Ranji Trophy match back in the 2017-2018 season.

India's Test and ODI captain Rohit Sharma was spotted attending Mumbai's Ranji Trophy practice camp at the Wankhede Stadium. However, his participation in upcoming matches still remains unconfirmed. This comes as an interesting development for cricket fans and indicates his intent to remain active in first-class cricket.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also made its stance on the matter clear in a recent review meeting, suggesting those available and eager to prolong their Test careers should play Ranji Trophy. But, Virat continues to maintain silence on the matter.

Virat Kohli had a far-from-impressive Border-Gavaskar series as he had scored 190 runs in nine innings in the series. Kohli and Rishabh Pant have reportedly been named in Delhi's probable for the remainder of the Ranji Trophy matches,

Rishabh Pant has confirmed he will play his first Ranji Trophy match since 2018 but there is no confirmation on Virat Kohli yet. Harshit Rana will not play the clash against Saurashtra at Rajkot as he is part of the Indian T20I squad to face England.
