The West Virginia Mountaineers (12-4, 3-2) welcome the No. 2 Iowa State Cyclones (15-1, 5-0) Saturday evening. Tip-off is set for 5:00 p.m. and the action will stream on ESPN+. I get that feeling that tonight could be special for the Mountaineers.

Following Wednesday’s 17-point win at home over No. 9 Kansas, No. 2 Iowa State prepares to head out east in a battle against West Virginia Saturday. The Mountaineers sit at an overall record of 12-4 and are 3-2  in the Big 12.

Iowa State has lost its last eight games at West Virginia and is 2-9 there all-time. The Cyclones have outscored Big 12 foes by an average of 14 points per game. WVU is coached by Darian DeVries, who left Drake in March. He was 150-55 over six seasons at Drake, and led the Bulldogs to three NCAA tournament appearances.
