Texas men's basketball signed four star top-50 prospect John Clark on National Signing Day. Houston native Clark is a 6 ft 9 in forward who plays at Link Academy in Missouri, previously playing at Klein Cain High School from his freshman to junior season.

On Wednesday, Longhorns women’s basketball had a reason to celebrate as they added to their 2025 class. Texas announced the signing of Aaliyah Crump, who is ranked as the fifth-best player in her class by ESPN. The Minnesota native is coming off one of the best seasons of her high school career.

Led by Shay Holle's 15 points, No. 4 Texas rolled to a 95-58 win Wednesday over Lamar at Moody Center. The Longhorns have opened their season by beating two mid-major programs by a combined 109 points.
