The Shakopee City Council on April 5 moved to advertise for bids on the construction of an $8.5 million city hall that will be adjacent to the Police Department and house all city offices.

The city hosts the Show Off Shakopee photo contest every year to celebrate Shakopee. Contest winners earn a cash prize and have their photos displayed at City Hall and on the city website.
