Chelsea Manalo, the country's candidate in the 73rd Miss Universe pageant being held in Mexico City, Mexico, made it to the semi-finals. The 25-year-old was the 17th candidate to be called in the Top 30.

Top Spanish language publication HOLA! and popular pageant site Missisology both named the Philippines' candidate Chelsea Manalo a "top contestant" to win the next Miss Universe title, placing her side by side with the Latina beauties.

ANTICIPATION is at an all-time high as the 73rd Miss Universe pageant culminates on Sunday morning (Manila time) at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico. This year's edition is historic, with a record-breaking 125 countries and territories competing — surpassing the previous record of 94 entrants set in 2018.
