One of the biggest TV developments at CES 2025 was a new fourth-generation 'four-stack' OLED panel developed by LG Display, an independent wing of LG that provides the raw display panels for LG Electronics and other TV makers.

The Primary RGB Tandem structure applied to the fourth-generation OLED TV panel organizes the light source into four stacks by adding two layers of blue elements and independent layers of red and green elements. It improves maximum brightness by increasing the amount of light produced by each layer compared to the previous structure.

CES 2025, held in Las Vegas from Tuesday to Friday this week, is one of the world's largest tech trade shows where companies unveil their latest innovations. This year, among the standout announcements is an LG OLED TV, claiming to be the "brightest TV on the market”.

LG Display's new 4th-generation OLED panels are 33 percent brighter than previous generations, while also being more power-efficient.

LG's top-line 2025 OLED TVs and gaming monitors will have fourth-generation panels that deliver exceptional brightness and colour accuracy. They're also more energy efficient, and other brands are set to benefit too.

LG Display has officially announced the fourth generation of its OLED display technology, and it will be available in LG's M5 and G5 OLED TVs in 2025.
