A manhunt ended in Texas when a Houston man accused of shooting and killing a deputy serving a warrant on him in the parking lot of a Dollar Tree, was fatally shot by police.

Robert Davis III allegedly shot and killed a Texas officer Wednesday. A manhunt ended when Houston police fatally shot Davis after he wounded a K-9.

An officer was hospitalized and police were searching for one person after a shooting Thursday morning in southwest Houston, officials said. Officials with the Houston Police Department provided limited details about the shooting on Twitter, saying preliminary information was that someone had shot an officer from another agency and fled on foot.
