The New York Rangers were put to work through the team’s first day of training camp. Thursday marked the beginning of training camp for the Rangers and coach Peter Laviolette did not let any of his players off easy. The team participated in a number of physical and intense drills that got everybody’s competitive juices flowing.

As training camp opens, continuity will be a theme for the 2024-25 Rangers, who won the Presidents' Trophy last season and advanced to the conference final.

Peter Laviolette isn’t looking to reinvent the wheel, as the Rangers head coach put it, with his plans to prepare his team for the 2024-25 season.

Through the first two days of training the New York Rangers have kept both their offensive lines and defensive pairings the same with the exception of a couple of tweaks.
