Flood warnings being issued too late, says MP
An MP has criticised the speed at which flood warnings are issued by the Environment Agency. Sarah Bool, Conservative MP for South Northamptonshire, raised the issue during a debate on flooding at the House of Commons on Monday.

The Environment Agency has issued a flood warning, as well as alerts due to rising river levels in Dorset following periods of heavy rain. According to the agency, rising river levels throughout yesterday afternoon may lead to flooding of roads and low-lying land. The agency said that property flooding is not expected.
