Proposed changes to the Northwest Forest Plan could endanger old-growth forests in California and the Pacific Northwest.

The project would add a new quarter-mile section of transmission line along the edge of Forest Park; opponents have objected to the felling of around 397 trees.

Now with approval, Portland General Electric’s Harborton Reliability Project will likely begin construction in the summer.
