BANGKOK (AP) — World shares were mixed on Thursday after China rolled out more moves to try to boost its lagging stock markets by raising confidence that prices will rise. Germany's DAX gained 0.2% to 21,300 and the CAC 40 in Paris edged 0.1% higher to 7,847.38. Britain's FTSE 100 slipped less than 0.1% to 8,539.88.

Netflix, Oracle and other technology stocks lifted U.S. indexes as their profits pile higher and excitement builds around the moneymaking prospects of artificial intelligence. The S&P 500 rose 0.6% Wednesday and closed just shy of the record it set in early December.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is outperforming other major indexes and is on track to best the Nasdaq Composite by the widest margin in years. The Dow is up roughly 0.3%, versus a fall of 3.11% for the Nasdaq.

Dow Jones futures fell Sunday night, along with S&P 500 futures and especially Nasdaq futures, amid concerns over AI progress from China's DeepSeek. Nvidia, Broadcom, Meta and several other AI-related stocks were indicated lower overnight.

Tyson Foods Inc. Cl A closed 16.87% short of its 52-week high of $66.88, which the company achieved on September 9th.

US PMI data came in more mixed than expected, to little effect. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) churned into a soft backpedal on Friday, testing down around 200 points on a slow trading day.
