Max Homa has added his name to the long list of players who have withdrawn from the 2025 Farmers Insurance Open.

Next week, the PGA Tour stays in California but heads to San Diego for the 2025 Farmers Insurance at Torrey Pines.

Eleven players have pulled out from this week's event since Sunday, including popular players Collin Morikawa, Will Zalatoris, Gary Woodland and Akshay Bhatia.

Despite holing out for eagle at the par-5 6th in round one, Homa laboured to an opening round of 5-over 77. It represented his second-worst score in 25 rounds at the Farmers. The champion of this event in 2023 withdrew with three holes to play on the North Course on Thursday after heavy winds forced officials to briefly suspend play.

The 2023 champion at Torrey Pines withdrew Thursday afternoon during the suspended second round of the Farmers Insurance Open.

Some of those names include Ludvig Aberg, Tony Finau, Max Homa, Hideki Matsuyama, Collin Morikawa, Sahith Theegala and Will Zalatoris. French Olympian Matthieu Pavon will return to defend his title.
