The Cincinnati Bengals and All-Pro wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase enter another offseason of intense contract negotiations. After not being able to agree on a new deal ahead of last season, the Bengals and Chase will now resume negotiations. Chase is entering the final year of his rookie deal with the Bengals.
The 6-foot, 201-pound receiver is set to earn $21.8 million next season. However, he’s aiming to become the NFL’s highest-paid wide receiver, surpassing his former LSU teammate, Justin Jefferson, who currently makes $35 million per year with the Minnesota Vikings.
This season, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase became the youngest Triple Crown winner in NFL history since Don Hutson. Hutson, now an NFL Hall of Famer, accomplished that feat in 1936.
