Boren was the only Oklahoman to serve in the state Legislature, as governor, as U.S. senator and as president of a major state university

A memorial service to honor David L. Boren is scheduled for 2 p.m. March 29 at St. Luke's Methodist Church in Oklahoma City, according to Boren family spokesman Bob Burke.
