A weather system is bringing rain and snow to parts of Arizona. The high in Phoenix should reach 70°F for Thursday. PHOENIX - We've been talking about it most of the week, but Arizona is finally seeing some wet weather.

The high in Phoenix should reach 79°F on Wednesday. There's a chance for rain in Phoenix on Thursday and Friday, with temperatures in the high 50s by Friday. Warmer temperatures are expected over the weekend.

Two major weather systems will bring mixed conditions across much of Arizona, with snow in Flagstaff, wind in Phoenix and possible rain in Tucson.

The National Weather Service issued red flag warnings on Feb. 28 for Maricopa, Pima, Pinal, Graham, Greenlee, Santa Cruz and Cochise counties.

The National Weather Service issued dust storm warnings for Maricopa, Pima and Pinal counties on March 1. Red-flag warnings continue through March 1 as well.

The average temperature in February 2025 was 66 degrees, a 6.1-degree departure from the normal at 59.9 degrees, according to the weather service.

Dry conditions are forecast to persist all week long. Aside from some passing clouds, the forecast will bring consistently sunny to partly sunny skies. Winds will increase mid-week in Northern Arizona, and turn breezy in the Valley by Thursday.

Friday afternoon will be nice, with a few passing clouds and temperatures in the lower 80s. That is still above our average high temperature, which is 73 degrees this time of year. Another low pressure system will bring another round of winds on Saturday.
