WellSpan, Meritus health systems enhance security after York hospital hostage incident
The victims of the UPMC shooting were taken to WellSpan York Hospital, and WellSpan Health is enhancing security at its facilities throughout south-central Pennsylvania, including Waynesboro and Chambersburg hospitals, numerous other medical buildings and offices in Franklin County.
Both hospitals were coincidentally dealing with violent threats on the same date at the same time, according to police.
