Recorder's Norwalk headquarters received a bomb threat on Saturday — the latest in a string of threats targeting election hubs across the region and country.

Orange County’s elections office, where ballots were being counted, received a bomb threat Friday afternoon, the registrar said. Staff and members of the public who were watching ballots being tallied were evacuated from the Santa Ana building at about 6:45 p.m., Bob Page, the registrar of voters said, and everyone is safe.

Election offices in Orange and Riverside counties were evacuated after each received bomb threats. No explosives were found in either building. Both threats were sent via email, authorities said. ABC News is reporting that these same types of threats have been happening at offices across the country.

A bomb threat caused officials to evacuate the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters Office in San Jose on Saturday morning, NBC Bay Area reported. The bomb threat was “communicated to” the registrar’s main facility on Berger Drive in North San Jose about 8 a.
