Gukesh Dommaraju shone in the Tata Steel Chess Tournament 2025, defeating Pentala Harikrishna and leading the Masters standings alongside Praggnanandhaa Rameshbabu and Nodirbek Abdusattorov. Arjun Erigaisi's struggles continued with a loss to Max Warmerdam.

The cream of India's chess talent is playing at Wijk aan Zee this year. Besides Gukesh, Harikrishna, Arjun Erigaisi, Praggnanandhaa, Leon Mendonca, Vaishali and Divya Deshmukh are in action.

Gukesh, who became the youngest World Chess Champion in Singapore last month, beating Ding Liren in the final, secured his fourth win of the tournament in just 43 moves.
