Three of the Detroit Lions' seven picks during the 2025 NFL Draft played for Kirby Smart's Georgia Bulldogs last season.

The Detroit Lions have drafted Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver Dominic Lovett in the seventh-round of the 2025 NFL draft. Lovett, who was the No. 244 pick in the draft, is the Lions' third Georgia player selected.

Jackson, 24, is a former walk-on who primarily played special teams over his Georgia career but became a starting safety as a redshirt senior in 2024. Last season, Jackson recorded 64 combined tackles (two for loss) with two interceptions and three additional pass breakups.

Ohio State led all collegiate programs with 14 players being selected at the 2025 NFL Draft. This included four first-round picks, three second-round picks and the rest going on Day 3. Georgia was also well represented with 11 players being selected. This included three first round picks and three Day 2 selections.

The Philadelphia Eagles already had an abundance of Georgia players on their roster, specifically on defense. They added another Georgia player in the fifth round when they selected Georgia linebacker Smael Mondon Jr.

Purdue picked up a transfer commitment from Marques Easley, a 6-foot-5, 325-pound offensive lineman from Georgia. He is a former four-star prospect.
