Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson jumped back into the ring at Los Angeles’ Intuit Dome to kick off the Netflix premiere of WWE’s Raw—and he wasn’t alone.

After an electrifying appearance on WWE’s “Monday Night Raw” debut on Netflix at Inglewood’s Intuit Dome, The Rock surprised fans with another announcement. The Great One will be at WWE NXT “New Year’s Evil” at The Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles on Tuesday night.

Rock, who announced his intended appearance via social media on Sunday, entered after a rah-rah speech from WWE Chief Content Officer Paul 'Triple H' Levesque. Rather than reprising his recent heel character and building to WrestleMania 41, however, his appearance suggested that perhaps he won't be in Las Vegas this April after all.

The Rock has acquired more TKO stock. In January 2024, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson joined the TKO Board of Directors, and he was granted full ownership of The Rock’s name. He then returned to WWE for a sustained run on the road to WWE WrestleMania 40.
