Bradley announced her plans to run just days after Wisconsin voters elected Democrat-backed judge Susan Crawford to join the court.

The next chief justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court will come from the liberal majority of justices, as the court announced that the conservative who currently holds the mostly honorary position will be replaced.

Democrats celebrated after the liberal-leaning candidate won an election on Tuesday for a seat on Wisconsin's Supreme Court, protecting the liberal majority on the bench.
