Tesla is recalling 46,096 examples of the Cybertruck due to an exterior trim panel possibly detaching from the main structure. This is every 2024 and 2025 Tesla Cybertruck built from November 13, 2023, to February 27, 2025. Tesla says it has a remedy to the problem and expects only 1% of possibly affected trucks to have this defect.

As of March 18, 2025, production vehicles have yet to be corrected, but Tesla expects to begin applying the remedy around March 21, 2025. Any trucks produced before the fix is implemented, but still sitting in Tesla’s possession, will be retrofitted before being delivered to customers.
