The Salvation Army rang in the season of giving Saturday at its annual Red Kettle Campaign kickoff. The event, which packed the center part of Capital Mall, also featured the goal for this year's bell-ringing efforts -- $410,000, an amount the team will shoot for during the next six weeks or so.

The holiday season is fast-approaching at that means the return of the Salvation Army Red Kettle campaign. A number of locations, including stores and other businesses in the Watertown area will have bell ringers brining in the sound of the holidays.
