Miami Dolphins edge rusher Bradley Chubb has agreed to a revised contract that will allow him to stay with the team in 2025, a league source confirmed Wednesday. Chubb was scheduled to have a salary cap hit of $28.7 million, second on the team, behind only quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

The standout edge rusher who missed 2024 due to a knee injury can earn his full compensation by reaching incentives in 2025. In the meantime, he provides Miami with cap relief.

Chubb joined the Dolphins in late 2022 after the Denver Broncos traded him to Miami. The Dolphins promptly signed him to a five-year extension that ran through 2027. He excelled for the rest of the season, even earning his second Pro Bowl in the process.

Regardless, both could've tested free agency, but chose to take less to stay in Miami.
