The Switch 2's sequel to go-kart bonanza Mario Kart 8 – unofficially, Mario Kart 9 – appears to dole out a makeover to its hopeful racer Princess Peach, replacing her utilitarian cycling suit and ponytail for a flouncy ballgown and her hair down.

No one knows if this will be called Mario Kart 9 or something else, and the clip played second fiddle to the new console announcement, but as reported by VG247, Mario Kart creator Mankalor spotted a potentially major change to the game coming with the next-gen title.
