Some residents along Tennessee’s border with Kentucky are still struggling with the effects of heavy rainfall in the area.

But just across the Kentucky border and only a few miles away, FEMA’s flood maps label areas adjacent to the state line as Zone A flood zones. Those determinations were made after the 2010 flood.
