A family was displaced when a fire destroyed their home on the 400 block of 13th Street in Jasper on Sunday morning. The Jasper Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the fire at about 9 a.m.

No one was hurt in a fire which broke out at a building in Jasper Tuesday ... to bring the fire under control quickly with minimal damage to the main building, the fire department said.

Luckily the family inside the home was able to escape unscathed according to Jasper VDF, and no injuries were reported. However, the home did suffer extensive fire damage. This is a developing story.
