After much persuasion from Dallas officials, the iconic downtown location of luxury department store Neiman Marcus will stay open — for now. According to a release, Saks Global will continue operations of the Neiman Marcus Downtown Dallas store at 1618 Main St.

Neiman Marcus's downtown Dallas flagship store, initially slated for closure on March 31, will remain open through the end of the year. The City of Dallas is working on a plan to keep the store open long-term, potentially involving a "reimagination" of the space.
