KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - State leaders are warning of a dangerous gang that formed in prisons in Venezuela called Tren de Aragua that has been spotted in all major cities in Tennessee. The violent Venezuelan gang "Tren de Aragua" has resurfaced in Tennessee cities, involved in various crimes including human trafficking and confrontations with cartels.

TBI Director David Rausch told Governor Bill Lee that Venezuelan gang "Tren De Aragua," or "TDA," is behind human trafficking rings, drug trade and organized retail theft cross the state of Tennessee.

According to Rausch, a Venezuelan gang named "Tren de Aragua" has been spotted in metropolitan areas across the Volunteer State.
