UVA emergency incident stable, suspect detained
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - The University of Virginia sent out a text alert around 4:49 p.m., Thursday, February 27. The emergency alert says the suspect is wearing a red hoodie and blue sweatpants in the area of 100 Emmet Street across from Alumni Hall.
Attacker armed with knife near UVA's campus has been arrested, police say
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — A man is in police custody after a stabbing near the University of Virginia's campus on Thursday evening. A statement from the university said the stabbing happened around 4:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Emmett Street. One victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment and is currently in critical condition.
