The school board says once they were made aware of the possible threat, a thorough investigation was conducted by the board and the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office.

A 14-year-old high school student was arrested after threatening a shooting at an Elk Grove school because he wanted to stay home from class, police said. The teen had called 911 while using someone else’s phone, falsely identified himself and said a school shooting would happen at Harriet Eddy Middle School, Elk Grove police said.
