The Pittsburgh Steelers offense is averaging just 15.5 points per game through two games, and while there are a litany of reasons for that from the Steelers struggling on offense, the lack of explosive plays for a ball control offense might be the biggest reason.

But not for the Pittsburgh Steelers offense it would seem. It has been a recurring theme over the last several seasons that despite having the same amount of prep time when the season starts, the Steelers offense is still several weeks behind everyone else and constantly playing catch up.

It hasn't been pretty to watch as the Steelers average the fourth-fewest total yards per game (260.5) and eighth-fewest points per game (15.5), but the belief around the locker room is that the "dam is about to burst.
