Philadelphia has opened 20 new warming centers for people who need them during the city's Code Blue emergency. While the snow has moved out, bitterly cold temperatures and biting winds have moved in.

Philadelphia city officials are providing more details into its the Code Blue Warming Center initiative which provides 20 warming centers open across the city—including one in every neighborhood and council district.

The total number of individuals who have accessed a Warming Center is at least 1,005 people since they opened Monday, officials said.
