During this past off-season, former Tampa Bay Lightning forward Pat Maroon signed a one-year, $1.3 million contract with the Chicago Blackhawks. This was after he had four goals, 16 points, and 82 hits in 51 games split between the Minnesota Wild and Boston Bruins in 2023-24.

The NHL Department of Player Safety has announced that Chicago Blackhawks winger Pat Maroon has been fined $3,385.42 for elbowing. The infraction occurred late in the third period of Sunday’s 5-1 loss to the Dallas Stars when Maroon elbowed Mavrik Bourque.
