India's injured quick Jasprit Bumrah will miss the five-match T20 international series with England, while Mohammad Shami has returned to the squad after more than a year out with an ankle injury, the Indian cricket board (BCCI) announced on Saturday.

Fast bowler Mohammed Shami on Saturday returned to India's squad for the upcoming T20 international series against England after more than a year's break due to injury. Pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah is missing with doubts over his participation in the following three ODI matches with the touring England team due to an injury he suffered in the final Australia Test.

The report further added that the T20 squad, which may be announced over the weekend, may not have any surprise exclusions or inclusions

The highlight of the squad for the five-match series is the return of pacer Mohammed Shami back to international cricket after 14 months.

The pacer was picked in India’s 15-member squad for the five-match T20I series against England, starting January 22. The national selection panel met here in person on Saturday to finalise the squad and take stock of the Indian cricket team.
