What a time it was out in San Antonio for this year's Fiesta Oyster Bake out at St. Mary's University. The two-day party full of live music, family fun, of course Oysters, was filled with hundreds of folks making their way out to catch all the festivities.

Now, hundreds of organizations get in on the medal action each Fiesta, ordering them in batches that can number in the tens of thousands. Since the 1990s, the designs have grown more elaborate and colorful, incorporating intricate metal cuts, vibrant colors, dangling bling and movable parts.

The 11-day citywide celebration has once again taken over the Alamo City. That means showstopping parades, mouthwatering foods and a peek into San Antonio’s rich history.
