Draymond Green was recently listed as the favorite for Defensive Player of the Year, which shouldn’t be a major shock to many. While there are other worthy candidates, Green has been phenomenal as the heart and soul of the Golden State Warriors’ defense.

Draymond Green has been quite vocal since the All-Star break. The Warriors went and got Jimmy Butler in a trade. Since then, they have slowly climbed up in the Western Conference standings.

Green is the current favorite on FanDuel Sportsbook for the award, with Cleveland Cavaliers forward Evan Mobley, Oklahoma City Thunder forward Luguentz Dort, Atlanta Hawks guard Dyson Daniels and Memphis Grizzlies center Jaren Jackson Jr. rounding out the top five.
