North Texas braces for Arctic blast, temperatures to plummet
A major cold front is expected to hit the Metroplex starting Sunday, bringing the coldest air of the season. Temperatures will drop to the 20s with wind chills in the teens by Monday morning. Highs next week will only reach the upper 30s to low 40s.
As the winter chill sets in, Texans are questioning whether the state's power grid is prepared to handle the cold months ahead.
According to ERCOT's supply and demand, Texas is projected to use more than 60,000 megawatts by the end of Monday.
