The Pakistani military conducted air raids potentially killed dozens while targeting alleged Pakistani Taliban militants in the rural Paktika Province of Afghanistan Tuesday night.

The UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) said Thursday it received "credible" reports that dozens of civilians, including women and children, were killed in airstrikes by Pakistan’s military forces in eastern Paktika province.

Islamabad: Pakistan Thursday confirmed that it carried out strikes targeting militants’ hideouts in Afghanistan, amid strong protest from the Afghan leadership, which condemned it as a ‘brutal act’ and said such arbitrary actions are not a solution to any problem.
