Thanks so much for your message! We are happy to answer your questions: Our coral reef sanctuary is home to over 500 species, including blacktip reef sharks, turtles, stingrays, groupers and many more. Dolphins can sometimes be seen passing by from the shore. You can borrow all snorkelling equipment with us on the island (masks, tubes, fins, rash guards). We offer guided snorkelling with our rangers once a day. Our reef is not far from our beach, just a few minutes by boat. Additional guided snorkelling activities can be arranged with our team on the island, as snorkelling is tide dependent. For sustainability reasons, we don't have a swimming pool on the island, but we do have a private beach where you can relax and swim. We hope to see you on Chumbe Island in October!

Hello! We would love to host you for a day trip. Kindly contact our Booking team directly within 2 to 3 days of the day you want to visit by calling us (TripAdvisor doesn't let us post our phone number or website, so I will dm you through this site). The 2-3 day window is because we have 7 eco-bungalows on the island, and if those are full, it means we have reached our island capacity. The day trip is $90 USD per person, and includes boat transfers, 1-hour snorkeling (including equipment and tutoring if necessary), a delicious lunch, and a guided forest tour with a walk to the top of the light house. We hope to see you on Chumbe Island!

Happy New Year! We are considering coming to Chumbe for 2 nights in early July this year. Is the weather and water ideal for snorkeling at this time? Also, we would be a party of 6 people total: 2 adults/parents, 2 boys (ages 6 and 8) and 2 grandparents (ages 70+). How would the lodging be arranged for us (ie how many huts and beds)?

We visited in August and it was just perfect and I understand July just a bit warmer so you should be fine. There are seven bungalows and all the same with a double bed on the top floor up a short staircase. I would guess you would need three bungalows and the boys should be fine on their own (so long as relatively mature and not scared of night sounds...) as really no-where to go and the bungalows such fun they would love it. The island staff are simply amazing and will make sure everything is okay for you
